"The golf course is a real charmer.
It's challenging and beautiful,
and best of all, it's always in great shape."
Peter Morrice, Senior Editor Golf Digest
and 2009 Club Champion.
Silver Spring's 18 hole golf course was designed by noted golf course architect, Robert White, who was founder of The American Society of Golf Course Architects.
The pristine conditions of Silver Spring are attributed to the close attention paid by property manager, Peter Rappoccio, and his team. Plant health is encouraged by using the most environmentally sound practices available. The staff stays current through education and continues to tweak practices as new research dictates.
Silver Spring subscribes to the practice of developing a "true" putting surface and finding a fine balance between a true roll, plant health and speed.
The approach to course management is comprehensive, detailed and abides by industry best practices. The club is walker friendly, and the course is compatible to all levels of play. Members are not required to have tee times.
Practice facilities are maintained to the same standards and include designated areas for chipping, putting, sand practice and driving
